This session explains what GovAI Chat is, why it is being built, how it fits within the broader GovAI platform, and how it supports safe and effective AI use under the APS AI Plan. It also outlines what the Alpha trial involves, when it starts, and how APS staff and agencies can get involved. Ideal for staff who are new to GovAI Chat or want a clear overview before participating in the trial.

Leading the GovAI Chat trial: A briefing for SES

A strategic briefing for SES leaders whose agencies are participating in the GovAI Chat pilot or are considering getting involved. 
This session covers what GovAI Chat is, why it is being developed, and what the pilot means in practice for your agency and your staff. We will walk through how agency participation works, how staff can express interest in joining the pilot, and what your teams can expect in terms of communications, training and support. We will also touch on how comparable governments are approaching AI adoption and what success looks like in an APS context.
