Information Security requirements

Users must NOT enter or hold CLASSIFIED information into the App.

Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)

State and Territory government agencies that hold or access Commonwealth security classified information must apply the PSPF to that information consistent with arrangements agreed between the Commonwealth, States and Territories. This is consistent with a Memorandum of Understanding between the Commonwealth and the States and Territories (2007), which is a formal agreement that any national security information held by the parties will be treated according to the PSPF.

Privacy

The App is administered by the Department of Finance (Finance) and hosted on the GovTEAMS platform (GovTEAMS).

Finance collects personal information, including your name and email address, that is necessary to authenticate you as a user of the App and to properly administer the App. Due to the nature of the App, it is not practicable for you to use the App without identifying yourself.

Any personal information that you provide is protected by law, including the Privacy Act 1988. By accepting these Acceptable Use Conditions, you consent to Finance collecting any personal information that you provide.

Platform behaviour principles

By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You must use the App for proper purposes: The App is a secure online artificial intelligence (AI) platform for government employees to learn about and interact with AI. You should exercise good judgment when deciding whether to use the App for a particular purpose. For example, it may be reasonable to use the App to upskill and learn more about AI in a government context.
• You must use the App in accordance with the Australian Public Service (APS) Code of Conduct: If you are a member of the APS, you are bound by the APS Code of Conduct while using the App. Further, non-APS users are expected to act consistently with the APS Code of Conduct.
• You must not use the App for private gain: The App is provided for official use only.

Microsoft's Acceptable Use Policy

The App is hosted on GovTEAMS. GovTEAMS is hosted on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Office 365 platforms. By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that you understand and must follow Microsoft's Acceptable Use Policy (opens in new window) .

Other User Obligations

You must not:

• Allow anyone else to access the App through your account. You should keep your account credentials secure at all times. It is good practice to 'log out' of the App when access is no longer required in a session.
• Use the App to participate in any illegal activity. This includes transmitting material that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or offensive, that harasses or may cause distress or inconvenience to another person or that constitutes or encourages conduct that would contravene any law.
• Disclose or use personal information or confidential information. You must not disclose any personal or confidential information when using the App or use the App other than for the proper purpose for which it has been made available or as necessary to comply with any law.

You must notify us if:

• You see any misuse of the App;
• You encounter any material when using the App which is personal information, confidential information or otherwise classified or protected information;
• You become aware or suspect that your account details have been compromised;

Account

You must:

• Create only one GovTEAMS account and keep it up to date and active. Keep your account information up to date, including by updating your account's email address if you move from one agency to another. If your account is inactive, it may be suspended or closed by Finance.
• Use your individual work email address when using the App. The email address used must not be a group mailbox. This is because all usage of the App must be traceable to a single user for auditing purposes.

General

These Acceptable Use Conditions operate in addition to the Terms of Use for the GovTEAMS website and any terms or conditions that apply to your use of any other government system. We may revise these Acceptable Use Conditions from time to time. The latest Acceptable Use Conditions are published on the GovTEAMS website.
