GovAI Chat trials give APS staff early access to the app.
You can use GovAI Chat as part of your everyday tasks and share feedback to shape future versions.
We run trials to help us understand the benefits, limitations, real-world risks, usability, accessibility, and workforce impacts. This learning informs future rollout decisions.
Beta trial launches 27 July 2026
The beta trial is the second GovAI Chat trial.
The beta app will provide all the same features as alpha as well as:
- new agency single sign on solutions
- new models
- better web search
- better large-document handling
- continued free access.
The app continues to support publicly available and OFFICIAL information only.
Some features are still being developed. Bugs and limitations are expected.
